Appliance Repair Service Terms – California

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS – APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICES

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all appliance repair, diagnostic, maintenance, and related services provided by Meraki Appliance Repair LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to the customer (“Client,” “you”) in the State of California.

By scheduling service, requesting a quote, approving an estimate, or allowing work to be performed, you agree to these Terms.

1. SERVICE AUTHORIZATION

You authorize Meraki Appliance Repair LLC to perform diagnostic, repair, maintenance, or related services on the appliance(s) you requested.

Authorization may be provided verbally, electronically, by text message, online booking, or in writing.

 

2. DIAGNOSTIC / SERVICE CALL FEES

A diagnostic or service call fee covers technician dispatch, travel, time, and professional evaluation.

  • Diagnostic and service call fees are non-refundable

  • Fees may be applied toward the repair cost if disclosed at the time of service

 

3. ESTIMATES & REPAIR APPROVAL

  • Estimates are based on visible and accessible conditions at the time of inspection

  • Additional issues discovered during repair may require a revised estimate

  • No repair work is performed without Client approval

We do not guarantee repair outcomes on appliances that have been improperly installed, modified, or previously serviced by others.

 

4. PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is due upon completion of service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to pay may result in service refusal, late fees where permitted, or lawful collection actions.

 

5. WARRANTY & CALIFORNIA RIGHTS NOTICE

Labor Warranty

Labor is warranted for 30–90 days, as stated on your invoice, and applies only to the specific repair performed.

Parts Warranty

Replacement parts are covered only by the manufacturer’s warranty. Meraki Appliance Repair LLC does not control manufacturer warranty approval, processing, or timelines.

Legal Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights under California law. Nothing in these Terms limits or waives rights provided by California consumer protection statutes.

 

6. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic conditions (scratches, dents, discoloration)

  • Pre-existing or unrelated component failures

  • Electrical surges, improper wiring, gas, plumbing, or ventilation issues

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or third-party service

 

7. RISK DISCLOSURE & DAMAGE LIMITATIONS

Client acknowledges that appliance repair involves working with components that may be aged, corroded, brittle, or discontinued.

Meraki Appliance Repair LLC is not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Appliance age or manufacturer defects

  • Hidden or pre-existing conditions

  • Normal risks associated with standard diagnostic or repair procedures

We are not responsible for secondary or consequential damages (including food loss, loss of use, or property damage), except where such limitations are prohibited by California law.

 

8. AGED OR HIGH-RISK APPLIANCES

Appliances 10 years or older, discontinued models, or appliances with prior repairs carry increased risk of additional failures during or after service. Additional repairs may be required and are not covered unless expressly approved.

 

9. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

  • Provide safe, clear, and unobstructed access to the appliance

  • Secure pets and personal belongings

  • Ensure utilities (power, gas, water) are available and functional

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if conditions are unsafe.

 

10. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

Same-day cancellations or no-shows may result in a service charge, as permitted by California law. Appointment times are estimated and may vary due to traffic, job complexity, or prior service calls.

 

11. REFUNDS & RETURNS

  • Diagnostic fees and labor charges are non-refundable

  • Installed or special-order parts are non-returnable

  • Refunds are provided only if required by California law

 

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, the total liability of Meraki Appliance Repair LLC for any claim related to service shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service performed.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, fraud, or violations of California law.

 

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

 

14. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Meraki Appliance Repair LLC regarding appliance repair services and supersede all prior communications or representations.
